CrowdFlower and CrowdWorks enter Business Partnership to offer high quality work to 950,000 Japanese and global crowd workers

  CrowdWorks K.K., Japan’s premier crowdsourcing service headquartered in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, announced that it has ent ered into a business partnership with CrowdFlower Inc., the essential human-in-the-loop platform for data science teams to offer high quality digital work to 950,000 Japanese and global crowd workers. In recent years, the need for large, high-quality human-curated datasets to enable big data initiatives has grown dramatically and will continue to grow bigger. This partnership will make it possible for CrowdWorks users such as seniors, women, and skilled workers who face difficulty in finding high quality work to be a part of this sharing economy. This partnership will enable many Japanese workers to take on a wide variety of digital jobs such as gathering, cleansing, and labeling, large data sets.

The CrowdFlower platform executes tasks that require human intelligence – like search relevance tuning, data categorization, image annotation, sentiment analysis, data transcription etc. Through this partnership, it will be possible to utilize the Japanese workers for the above-mentioned micro tasks. This will also allow CrowdFlower to streamline large-scale jobs and improve the quality of data submitted. For each month wherein the amount of compensation for work exceeds the minimal threshold of USD $10 on the last day of each month (U.S. time), an email notification with the confirmed amount of compensation will be sent, and compensation will be delivered on the 15th two months thereafter. Note: Emails regarding compensation will not be sent when the amount of compensation is less than the minimal threshold of USD $10.
