Thank you so much! The examples were a big help. I was able to create the work order! I'm ready to pay now and I am eager to get this study started. However, now there is a different problem. Because I am not in Japan, I do not have a Japanese phone number to use in my profile. The profile page does not require a phone number, but it seems a phone number is required to complete payment. This is very unfortunate news. Will I be unable to implement my study with crowdworks.jp?

I have contacted customer support and it seems that unless I have some form of Japanese identification to verify my identity, it may not be possible to use crowdworks.jp. I asked for an alternative way to verify identity, so I will wait for a response. This is really a great service you have here. I hope I can make use of it in the end.

Thank you again! Since I am not Japanese nor am I a resident of Japan, I am unable to provide a Japanese phone number. Customer service said that I could provide proof of identification with some documents (e.g., driver's license, passport), but these documents need to be issued by Japanese authorities. I don't have any of these, unfortunately. So, I am unable to provide identification which could satisfy the requirements and stipulations of crowdworks.jp management I think I would run into a similar problem at lancers.jp. :( I am not sure what else I can do now but I respect the regulations. Thank you again. You've been very helpful!

I've been communicating with crowdworks.jp support and there may be a solution. I can add a Japanese colleague from Japan onto my "team" and then we can use her number for verification. However, there is still some confusion. From what I can understand, my colleague must make a phone call to verify the account, but I'm not sure how this works and I don't know how to start this process. Here are a couple of the criteria:

・The call is made within the expiration date of the authentication phone number (within 2 minutes after issuance)

I'm not sure I understand what this means. Does my colleague have to call crowdworks.jp? But then what does "within 2 minutes after issuance" mean? It seems there might be two-step authentication but I don't how this process is initiated. Will they send my colleague a text message when I attempt to place the order? Or can we verify the number before I place the order? Do you have experience creating work projects?

Also, I think lancers.jp is probably a good platform, too, but I'm not very familiar with the website and how to create a work order (I don't speak Japanese). I had a Japanese speaker here in the USA help me with crowdworks.jp, but she is not familiar with these websites either and I've already asked her to do too much. Nonetheless, my work order is nearly complete at crowdworks.jp. All I need to do is verify the phone number and I can place the order!
